Hanging by the bus doors, doing them daily chores,
standing in the metros, wooing are the bent roads,
Teaching all the rich brats, racing with dumb rats,
bleaching lively dreams, embracing scum screams,
Moving from love to rap, trying to fit a power nap,
Cooing in the archives, crying not to live but survive,
Romanticizing the pain, walking in the autumn rain,
Internalising the stigmatic, talking like a pragmatic,
Waiting for a better tomorrow, praying no sorrow,
Plaiting words into verses, praising pain reimburses,
Hoping karma hits back, learning whatever we lack,
stroking the itchy beard, yearning for love is weird,
craving attention here, obsessing over my one self,
saving all that's given, caressing the broken yet driven.

Sober
Running in the background, noises of the existence,
I am seeking a divine sound, trying to make sense.
Everyone has a divine voice, their silence is selfish,
Oh their grace their poise, they do eat the shell fish.
Mental health and black lives, we care for humanity.
I am a pussy with nine lives, not letting go my vanity.
We love or hate all others, we didn't see their hustle.
You're all my soul brothers, until the leaves rustle.
You're wrong if you blame us, let it be upto thyself,
Stop trying to be famous, you disgrace of an elf.
We gotta shout and scream, be a savior on the wire.
We gotta show-off the ice cream, fame on our pyre.
We have a opinion on all there is, act we shall not,
Ain't no expert, ain't no whiz, accept we shall not.
Spirits from the hypocrite, drunk is my man Homer,
Troy and sparta win the fight, I witness it sober.

The colony
The night had come and it was dark,
leaves would rustle and dogs would bark.
Some were eating their steals of day,
some were busy finding a good spot grey.
The dark liquid flowed for baloney,
it was just any other day at the colony.
Then came the dreadful smell of pain,
the breeze reeked of that deadly rain.
Soon there was fear of losing life,
and sooner everybody was back to their strife.
Some went to get hay to stick onto,
some watched as their stock piles grew.
Some ran off madly onto the highway,
some were just idle while some would pray.
Finally came the rain and thunder,
ever together, neither God could put asunder.
The life ran in chaos, thefts and stealth,
ways may be many to drink good health.
Some fools just stood out in resistance,
lost in a blind faith, lost in trance.
Survived a few that learned to adapt,
and ones who had come to a new nature pact.
Happy were only those who knew joy,
loved inside the mind, neither food nor toy.
Some of them who found a safe place,
cleaned their antennae in style and grace.
Some of them sat patiently for the end,
to new levels of life, they await to descend.
Some died for they moved without change,
losing their family was not strange.
Given to instinct and sucked by thirst,
greedy were all the ones who died.
Life resumed in cockroach colony again,
rain passed by leaving pools, no stains.
The wheels in motion, not seen was the dent,
for everyone who survived was independent.
leaves would rustle and dogs would bark.

Religion in emergency
From Adisankaracharya and Buddha to the likes of Tagore and Nietzsche, we often heard the leaders to nirvana say, "leave your egos behind. Come together and weave a society of logic and freedom." Also from Parashurama to Mohammad to Jesus, we often witnessed the religious heads call out to convert or kill people of other religions for they might be impure or sinful or plain demons.
Here are 2 different perspectives.
1. Spirituality trying to remove tags
2. Religion trying to attach more tags.
Listen carefully to the words of a religious priest, imam or a father. More often than not, you'll notice they're trying to tag people on the basis of devotion, practice, ancestry, hierarchy, education, financial status and more. While most of them try to add the "spiritual universal being" image to the God in question, they are passively adding one more tag to the religion. One more word and meaning which defeats the purpose of that word.
What is really spiritual and universal, atleast to us human beings with their own goods and bada, do's and dont's is our ability to think, to reason, explain, imagine, and perhaps more importantly, to communicate. If there is one thing all human beings should follow, it is not some unidentified God object existing beyond the bounds of our observable universe, but the very universe that is omnipresent.
Yes, there are things science can't explain yet. Maybe, we should wait, or pursue it by ourselves, dependent on our own observations. It's worse to believe a goofy theory on creation, existence or after-life than not believe anything at all. You might as well ask a high school student to write a fiction and start believing in it.
In the wake of Covid-19, when death came knocking on every door, a few things definitely became clearer.
1. Science suddenly became the greatest religion. Doctors have started receiving the respect the temple-runners possessed.
2. Nature has taken the place of God. It ain't no God's plan but nature's revenge. A tiny minority started realising this fact.
3. The remaining majority now made science their religion, blindly believing every whatsapp forward that has scientific terminology attached to it.
4. Some people are busy arguing about the religion/ caste/ ethics of China. No, they have eaten their food. It was an accident (intentional or not) .
5. And then, there's media that wants to dig deep and dirty into the Hindu - muslim split on the Nizamuddin issue. Let guilty alone be punished.
Hello every reader, a literate of the 21st century, for you were able to read this, take this home.
1. Believe in scientific process.
2. Facts can always change here.
3. Religion is systematised story-telling.
4. Spirituality needs the skill to observe, honed by science and not by religion.
5. Pray for peace and health, live in harmony with nature.
Thank you.

Strider
The strider rides a stallion and wields shotguns,
would you be surprised he was a toddler once?
He was ten when he got boots and heat blisters,
His father died, he had to tend to three sisters.
He had fought for four years in that societal battle,
Dreams of mustangs, he woke up to herd cattle.
He once walked a long walk, to the land of Kansas,
not knowing he would never come back to Texas.
On the way, he was lynched by a herd of farmers,
His cattle were killed, he was saved by charmers.
They were all behind him, caressing as he fluttered,
Rape is the word he was looking for, never uttered.
One night in rain, he ran away on his wobbly feet,
driven by hunger, he started to rob and cheat.
He then ate his full and carried notes in cloth bags,
For sisters beautiful, oh those hallucinating hags!
He hoarded riches and carried pistols, gunslinger,
Neither his fate nor his riches did for long, linger.
He was attacked and robbed, stabbed with a knife.
He started to work for a rich farmer, thriving for life.
He gained health, built muscle and wooed women,
One night, he slept well and raced away to heaven.
No one knew why, or how the life took toll on him,
For he too was a reaper of life, though not so grim.
That night, a lady wept somewhere, "Honey! Honey!!"
He was never sweet to her, just wild, what an irony!!!
PS: Thoughts on how people who have successfully accomplished big big things and milestones fall and breakdown to relatively tiny problems.
